Now Type killall Dock
Then press Return.
Once the command is executed, the Dock will disappear and will appear again.
Now type exit
And press Return to end the current session.
Below is the command to Add a Spacer to the Document Side of Your Dock
defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-others -array-add ’{tile-data={}; tile-type=’spacer-tile’;}’
Press Return.

Press Return.
